Changing the world - one hub at a time.
Driving social change locally, impacting globally.
Our Mission
The Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, is an international network of young leaders. Created to empower youth to self-organize for impact and to amplify the voice of young leaders, the Shapers Community is a network of over 300 city-based hubs full of change-makers looking to positively impact the world.
Here in Bridgetown, Barbados, we believe there are hundreds of energetic citizens looking for a way to positively impact our country.
Our hub's goal is to leverage the passion of this diverse group of young leaders to create local change through a global lens by sparking critical conversations, prototyping design solutions, supporting community partners through project sprints, and approaching problems through the lens of human-centered design.

Our history.

Born out of the World Economic Forum in the wake of the Arab Spring, the Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people under the age of 30 working together to address local, regional and global challenges.

With more than 9,000+ members, the Global Shapers Community spans 400+ city-based hubs in 150+ countries.

Global Shapers Bridgetown is open for people from all kinds of backgrounds who have shown a commitment to bring about social change.

Our work.

Global Shapers Bridgetown seek to address the biggest challenges Barbados is currently facing through our social impact projects. They are born by our hub members or in collaboration with organisations in Barbados.

All our projects are executed by our hub members on a voluntary basis and our consulting engagements are pro bono.

Work with us.

Does your organisation sit with a challenge you think we can help with? Do you need a sounding board for a big decision you need to take? Or are you looking for a board member or an advisor?

We have worked with several organisations since our launch on projects ranging from strategy design to government lobbying. And would love to hear from you as well.
